30 Day Anime Challenge Day 13: Anime Character I’m Most Similar To

Once again this challenge has thrown me for a loop. Oh, the hours I spent mulling over the numerous anime characters I’ve come across over the years. So many names…so many faces…how can I ever choose just one…It’s Sakata Gintoki from Gintama. No discussion really necessary.

If there’s one type of character I can respect in all of anime, it’s the lazy ones. And there’s no one as lazy as Gintoki. This guy is so lazy…

Crowd: ” How lazy is he?”

He’s so lazy he’d make a sloth wanna get a job!

Horrible jokes aside, both me and Gintoki are allergic to work, even though we know we have to work in order to make money. If it were up me, I’d spend all day wrapped up in the blankets on my bed either watching Netflix or playing video games, with a robot maid bringing me food when necessary. Or I’d hire folks to do all the hard work for me like Gin does in the show.

On top of being rather slothful, we’re both bad with money. Rather then spending it on what we need, we spend it on things we want. You have no idea the amounts of money I’ve wasted on premium currency for mobile games and MMOs. Not to mention the constant collections calls I have to dodge every other day. I’d be a friggin’ millionaire if I actually tried to save money every once in a while.

I think the biggest similarity between me and Gintoki would be our love for all things sweet.

Man, what I wouldn’t give for one of those….

I’m not a diabetic like Gintoki, but I crave a sugary treat just as much as he does. My greatest weakness are Little Debbie cakes, especially Zebra cakes. There’s not a single day that goes by that I don’t have at least one of them. I don’t care if it’s unhealthy, I have to satisfy that craving!
